More and more people are removing their rooftop television antennas. With the access to cable and dish-type services, the old antenna will become another piece of historical technology, similar to the drive-in movie.
In just a little more than a year, analog television will be a thing of the past. On April 7, 2009 TV broadcasters will turn off their analog signals and transmit only digital ones. If you get your TV signal with rabbit ears or one of these rooftop jobbies, then you’ll need to either purchase a new digital TV or get a converter for your old TV set.
