It’s seems amazing how a shady little grassy hill like this can be so close to a freeway. It’s almost a waste of a good tree. A tree like this deserves quiet surroundings, not the constant barrage of cars, trucks and motorcycles.

I wonder if this tree has any idea how badly its life sucks. How could it know what it’s like to grow in a large field, where the only sounds are wind and birds? Is there such a thing as a City Tree and a Country Tree? If you released this tree into the wild, would it survive?

And if it fell and nobody could hear it over the sound of the traffic, would it make a noise?
