It seems like every old building in midtown is earmarked for loft housing; this one included. If you look up the word “loft” in the dictionary, it reads, “…to propel in a high arc…”. So instead of calling these living spaces “unaffordable condos”, we now call them “lofts”, meaning the perceived value of them has been tossed upward in a high arc.
And if you look at the path of an object flying in a high arc, you’ll notice that it has a corresponding movement back to earth. “Everything that goes up, must come down.”
Check back in about five years and see if there is an updated photo of the finished project.
