The Chalk It Up! Art Festival happens each year on Labor Day weekend at Fremont Park in Sacramento. Check out last year’s blogpost, too. Local artists use chalk and pastels to decorate sidewalk squares – businesses sponsor the squares and the proceeds benefit Children’s Art Education in the Sacramento Region.
